Life is ever changing and not everything works out exactly how it was planned. This is mural is exactly that. With the audience of over 30 people a day, feedback from people waiting in the room had a great impact of the final abstract mural.
My plan was to lay a brightly coloured background down and then begin to mask back to build shape and form. As I was putting the background down I could hear how much they loved the bright colours and people were starting to see different things. I can see a tree, a wave, that looks like a butterfly. I loved that the mural could be looked at for a long period of time and it was the viewers interpretation of what the mural was about.
